Hello,

Insinstalled the basic plugin on my website yesterday, and I have some problems.
First one happens when I create an event, i get the following message :

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘Admission’)’ at line 1]
INSERT INTO wp_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (‘3’, ‘150.00’, ”, ‘flat_rate’, ‘Tarif B’, ‘150.00’, ‘Membres d’Admission’)

It says that my event has not been registred, altough I can see it, and register attendees, as you may check here : http://www.centre-assise.org/event-registration/

I have some other problems, but maybe they all have to do with this one, and if I can fix this one, then I won’t have the others…

thanks for your help

Hi Cecile,

Was this a fresh install or was it from an older versions?
Have you checked the minimum server requirements?

Hello Dean and thanks for your answer. yes, this is a fresh plugin install, and No, I have wordpress 3.2. Sorry I did not see this requirement !

well then I have to upgrade my installation, just hope this won’t cause problems with my theme….

i’ll do what’s to be done and will come back, unless this is possible to get an older version of eventespresso plugin, that would be compatible with wp 3.2.1, so as no to take risks with the theme ??

Hi Cecile,

Sorry we don’t release older versions as they can have outdated features, bugs etc.

It is always worth staying up to date or as near to, with WordPress, themes and plugins it helps close security holes, fix bugs and get shiny new features.

WordPress is now on version 3.4.2, so yes you should check with your theme developer before updating.

Hello dean,

So I upgraded wp to the latest version (not the beta), but the problem remains ..
Also I cannot upload a logo as offred in the configuration options, the button doesn’t work, nothing happens when I press it.

there are several other problems, I did not check everything after upgrading, but I keep hoping some will disappear with the above warning message…

Me again !

I found out about your check requirements plugin, and intalled it on the website.
So there are a few warning.

that the SQL version might prevent some features to work

some apache modules are not found.

So I wrote to the webhost to ask them if they may make the changes, and I am now waiting for their answer.
Will be back then.

Thanks for your help.

Bye
