Insert venue or event programatically?

I’m having difficulty finding a way to insert venues programatically. I have a list of venues I need to somehow import. Been looking for documentation with reference to all available functions without any luck. Is this possible?

Is there an insert_venue function where I can just pass the post title and address?

Hi matchison,

I don’t believe there actually is an insert_venue() function where you can just pass the post title and address. A custom function could be built with some PHP programming, and the development team recommends making use of the built-in Model system, but it could optionally use the $wpdb class.
