Hi Ashley, the events calendar currently shows events that are created in Event Espresso.

You can’t manually add text to the calendar as it does not have another way of receiving data. However, you could add this text above the calendar shortcode.

Here is an example:

Kid’s Day – 10% off all times

You could also use something like Hello Bar with a link to the calendar page to feature this information site wide:
