Infusionsoft & Question related to duplicates

I am old EE user 1.0 and now we are about to move to Infusionsoft, we are importing all our database, I have a question related to EE and infusionsoft,

If a client registers to attend and EE event , and they are already in our infusionsoft application are duplicates created or does it recognise this?

Hi there,

It should recognize the contact if the email address they input on the registration form is an exact match with the email address field stored in the Infusionsoft contact.
