I’m researching plugins to use for a new project that I will be working on for an industrial association. After reading through the features and the pre-sales forum, I have a couple of questions.
1) My client needs to process annual membership fees. While I realize this is outside of the scope of an events plugin, we need something that will integrate with EE and allow us to offer event discounts and/or free access to current members.
2) For each member organization, we need to allow multiple employees to register. Each employee would be considered an individual registrant for ticketing and attendance purposes but would have to be somehow associated with the parent company, thus taking advantage of the aforementioned discounted/free ticket prices.
It would be helpful if you could provide examples of current sites that are using EE for a similar purpose (i.e. business association, chamber of commerce etc…).

How are you today?
1) With the WordPress User Integration for Event Espresso 4 (https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-wp-user-integration/), you can control memberships and access via your favorite membership plugin that uses capabilities to manage access (most do). Then to offer discounts to those members, you simply create a ticket and indicate the required capability that is required before they are allowed to purchase. Neat, hu?
2) Sure, you can allow one person to register as many attendees as you want. With the Event Espresso registration form system, you can let people register many spots under one name, or each registration can be under its own name (all this happens in one checkout). You can ask the first attendee a different question than say the subsequent attendees by assigning different question groups to the different registrants. https://eventespresso.com/features/event-registration/
We have a hard time keeping track of all the people using Event Espresso, especially because their events come and go and come again, so sometimes there are not great LIVE examples. I’ll ask around though and see if I can find an example.
