Okay, one last thing and “I think I got ‘er if she don’t jump”.

I have an individual field to input a name for each attendee, along with t-shirt options, and badge options. Even though I enter a unique name for each one, at the end of the form the only name is the primary attendee. See screen shot:

If you want to collect information for each attendee, you’ll need to choose which questions to ask the Additional Registrants in the event editor settings. Discussed in detail here: https://support.eventespresso.com/article/593-register-multiple-attendees-in-the-same-checkout

You can’t use custom questions for First Name, last Name and Email, I suspect your using custom questions cor those on additional registrants.

You need to ask your Additional Registrants the ‘Personal Information’ question group so that EE can create contacts for each registration.

Can you link me to the event so I can view the setup?

Yeah, so you’re using custom questions for registrant name and you can’t do it that way if you want individual registrant data to show up like that.

The ‘Personal Information’ question group with the 3 system questions First Name, Last Name and Email need to be asked for each registrant.

Think of that Personal Information as the Attendee information, that’s required for each attended, the minimum data we need from each person is First Name, Last Name (technically not actually required as some cultures don’t use them) and Email.

So in that group you only want to include questions specifically related t the attendees and those that you will ask each person.

May I ask, why you have ‘Personal Information’ and then a separate Attendee X group?

We want to collect info for one primary attendee, i.e., the “contact person” for the group, then just first and last name, tshirt size and badges for the rest of the attendees. A lot of them are “lunch ladies” from public schools, so I’m not sure if each attendee will have an email address. Can we set the email as not required?

Officially, EE doesn’t separate the primary registrant and ‘contact person’ so it you are looking for those to be 2 separate people this gets a little ticky. It can be done but your questions will need to changed.

Not currently, no.

Every registrant requires First name and Email address at a minimum.

So to do what you are requesting currently EE would need to be set up to request these questions for each attendee:

Attendee information – First Name, Email.
Additional Questions – T-Shirt, Badge No

The additional questions could be added to the attendee info if you want to ask those for every ‘attendee’.

Then to separate the ‘Contact Person’ details out you’ll need another question group collecting the contact person’s details (I assume First Name, Last Name, Email). That group will not create an attendee but you can use the values fro those questions in the emails so that the payment/confirmation emails go to the contact person (this takes some additional setup in the admin for messages).

Does that sound like what you are trying to do?

Thank you for your quick response… I truly appreciate it.

I think we have it set up as best we can. it would probably be confusing to ask the contact person to enter their name and email again as an attendee, so it’s probably best the way it is.

One last thing, if possible, the “student” tickets do not include a tshirt; I don’t suppose there’s a way to remove that from just one ticket instance?

Not as it stands no, we are working on a ‘questions per ticket’ feature but it’s not ready for release yet.
