incorrect number of tickets sold on some datetimes, but not others

A few weeks ago we had to change our “booking fee” (per ticket charge). When I changed the fee, EE4 automatically locked the tickets which had already been sold at the previous fee and created new tickets with the new pricing, effectively splitting the tickets (seen in the Available Tickets section of Event view) for datetimes which had sales. Tickets then sold at the new price and the total tickets sold per datetime was correctly shown as “old price sold” + “new price sold” – seemed to be working fine.

Today, in the Event Datetimes section, I noticed that some of the datetimes were showing total sold for only “new price sold” – and some were showing the correct total sold as “old price” + “new price”. In other words, for some datetimes, it is leaving out the sales from the old fee price.

I just want to make sure I don’t oversell the events and they are coming up this week. Saturday correctly shows a total of 27 sold (of 48 available. 20 old + 7 new), but Friday incorrectly shows total of 5 sold (of 48 available. only shows the 5 new, but not adding in the 24 old)

This EE4 installation was installed as 4.4.3 and has not been upgraded.
WP was installed as 4.0.
WP- 4.0
EE4 – 4.4.3
no installed add-ons
other WP plug-ins: wpMandrill, Official StatCounter, Site-specific plugin for EE4
theme – modified twentytwelve

Hi Ross,

How are you today?

Can you check double-check that the datetimes have the right tickets associated with them so that it is looking for the right values from each assigned ticket?

Hi Garth, appears to be correct. on “split ticket” datetimes, there are two tickets assigned to each datetime.
Is there a ticket ID somewhere? Perhaps the “old” ticket ID is invisible to the count..?

Hi Ross,

Event Espresso will archive an existing ticket that already has registrations linked to it. Could you backup your site and update to Event Espresso 4.4.10?

Thanks Lorenzo. Sadly, I won’t be able to update EE as I’ve done a number of mods to the core and there just isn’t time to shut it down long enough to upgrade and test (tickets are selling :)).
I think I’ll just have to manually do the math and control the number of available tickets until i hit the max/datetime.
It’s just strange that the math is correct on some datetimes but not others.

Hi,

That is certainly odd, and not something we have seen before. It is possible that the update will resolve it. It’s also possible that the core modifications have thrown something out, so testing on a non modified version could help rule that out.
