Incompatible Barcode?

I have EE4 with the New Ticketing Add-on. I just bought a new barcode scanner and when I went to scan the tickets generated by the system, the barcodes looked inverted from normal. Can you tell me the type of barcode the system uses that work with desktop type barcode scanners?

I also tried going into the Messages section and inverting the colors of the barcode but not surprisingly, even though I could now scan the barcode, it was incorrect information…

Am I missing something?

Hi Joe,

The default barcode is a code93 barcode.

You could try editing the Ticket message type in the Event Espresso admin and changing the barcode shortcode to this:

[BARCODE_* type=code128 w=1 h=70 fsize=18 bgcolor=#000000 color=#ffffff]

This changes the type from code93 to code128, which may work better with your scanner.
