I’m seeing some strange behavior in the events_attendee table.
I’m using a mod’ed version of EE 3.1.15P and Auth.net AIM.
Customers are being charged, but the database is listing their payment_status as either incomplete or declined. This has happened to about 40-50 entrants out of 12,000, but that adds up to about $3,300.
I’m working on updating to the latest version now (manually merging my mods, unfortunately), but am wondering what would be causing this. I’ve confirmed in Auth.net that the payments were successfully captured.
Thanks, Jacob

There can be multiple points of failure with the communication between the payment processor and the site running Event Espresso. Many times it’s as simple as the notification timing out. Reducing the page weight of the transactions page will usually help. Since no one sees this page, it can simple load the [ESPRESSO_TXN_PAGE] shortcode and little else.
See this post for more info + a transaction page template download.
So, no one ever sees this page? It looks like I had modified the page template at some point. It’s been a while since I built this theme so I can’t recall exactly why I customized it, but it’s seems as though we were landing on that page during the checkout process.
In the current version of Event Espresso, both authorize.net payment options land on the page with the [ESPRESS0_PAYMENTS] shortcode on it (set as the auto return URL) after the payment is made.
