Importing attendees to an Event

I work with an organization that must do a lot of manual i.e. paper registrations. May of the attendees are elderly and some (believe it or not do not even have email addresses). So requiring computerized registration is not an option. Is there any way to do a mass import. This is an ongoing problem. We are running EE4.

Great question. Currently there isn’t a way to do a mass import of attendees into Event Espresso 4.

By code do you mean like if someone built an importer? Sure, but we’re not aware of an importer that’s been built.

If I wrote one what table and info would need to be updated?

It’d actually be more than one table. Attendee data is stored in the following tables:

_posts
_esp_attendee_meta
_esp_registration
_esp_registration_payment
_esp_transaction
_esp_payment
_esp_line_item

and optionally _esp_answer if the registration form has any custom registration form fields.

The Event Espresso 4 Importer add-on is released and its feature allows for importing registrations into events. You’ll find more information here:
