I had upgraded to the version before the hotfix. That version was broken. I tried to automatically upgrade to the fixed version, but kept getting an error message from the WordPress interface. So I upgraded manually and it broke my site.
The message is:
Warming: require_once(includes/functions/main.php) [function.require-once] failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/jayakula/public_htim/wp-content/plugins/event-espreso/espresso.php on line 271

Right now, all I can do is get into cpanel and delete the event-espresso folder in the plugins folder and upload the new folder to that directory. I don’t have FTP access right now.
Will this work?
Will it mean that all of my events and registration info , etc. will be lost?
The control panel file manager will work, you can also rename the event-espresso folder and it will automatically deactivate the plugin so you can access the WP admin.
The events and registration info is stored in the mySQL database, which is a different location on your server, so this information will not be lost when you remove the plugin’s files.
