Someone cancelled a seat in a full event. One person on the Wait List, so I promoted to Pending Payment and customer received email notification. Does the event revert back to 1 seat open, or should it stay Sold Out? It’s still marked as Sold Out even though there’s 1 seat available. I’d like to give the promoted Wait List customer 1 week to register, then open it up on our website. But I don’t see how to do it?

Hi there

Does the event revert back to 1 seat open, or should it stay Sold Out?

It stays Sold out and the user you promoted will be allowed to pay using the email they received.

If the event switched from sold out, then anyone would be able to register to fill that last spot, meaning the waitlist registrant may not even have a chance to take the space.

I’d like to give the promoted Wait List customer 1 week to register, then open it up on our website.

Then leave it as is for the time being and then in a weeks time, edit the event and click the ‘Publish’ button. The event should switch from being sold out again to allow registrations (in this case a single registration)
