If i edit the styles in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/libraries/messages/defaults/default/variations/html_base_default.css will the customisations be overwritten at the next plugin update?
Was hoping that maybe the CSS files aren’t updated with each new release.
I’m wanting to change some CSS for the:
#invoice>div,
#invoice>table
to reduce the margin_bottom setting.
Also looking for the CSS file which has the Invoice PDF font formatting in it as I’d like to change it from Times New Roman to something a little nicer to read.
P.S. I have changed the CSS and uploaded the new copy but know this will be overwritten as confirmed. If i put the custom CSS into the WP customizer > Additional CSS screen it is not picking up the new CSS.

Unfortunately, WordPress doesn’t care what the file is, or if its actually been updated, it simply removes the plugin’s root directory from /wp-content/plugins/ and replaces it with the new version.
It sounds like what you need is a new template ‘variation’ (basically the CSS used for the template).
We have some documentation on adding your own here:
