We are using Event Espresso Version 3.1.36.4.P, Calendar Version 2.2.3.p, and Multi Event Registration Version 1.0.5.p. We have issues with some older version of Internet Explorer (8, 9 & 10) that don’t allow customers to go to their cart OR load the events on the calendar. The calendar just spins. not content.

When they view an event they can successfully click the add to cart button. But when the click the view cart afterwards, they get stuck in a loop and the page just keeps reloading.

Thoughts? Solutions. Unfortunately our client serves a lot of small manufactures using old tech. They have old IE version that won’t be updated.

We used the Multi Event plugin because they have variable price rates based on type of and number of people attending events.

Please help.

Hi Gary,

I can see the issue on your site, but all my test sites respond correctly.

One thing I have noticed is that you’re running WP 3.6 but jQuery 2.1.0 is being loaded

Would it be possible to test this when running the default version of jQuery that ships with WP (jQuery ver 1.10.2)?

Dean,

How do I change the jQuery back to an older version? I don’t know know how to do this. DO i have to access the files via FTP or can i do it through WordPress?

Hi Gary,

It depends on the theme, and how far nested the file is. WordPress can find it in most cases via the Editor but you need to dig. It’s also not a good idea to change files via the editor as it may lock you out of your site.

As such FTP or your hosts control panel are safer bets.

I would recommend testing on a development server before making the changes on your live server.
