When I click on the iCal file icon link to save the event when I click it, my computer is recognizing the file as a PDF and asking me to save or open the file as a PDF. The same behavior exists on your demo site: https://eventespresso.com/testdrive/

Are the http headers correctly configured in the php file? I haven’t looked, just asking if this might be the issue.

//set correct content-type-header
header('Content-type: text/calendar; charset=utf-8');
header('Content-Disposition: inline; filename=calendar.ics');

Thanks for your help,
~C

Hello Carlene,

What browser and version are you using as I had no issues downloading the file from the test drive site in the latest Chrome, Firefox and IE10.

Firefox does try to open the file as a pdf, but saves it correctly, which is the point, it isn’t meant to be opened by anything other than email calendars.

Sorry, should have been more clear. The fix has been posted to the development team, who will review it, test it, and merge it into the next version release.
