Iced Mocha Theme – Mailchimp subscription in footer

I’m tried to add a Mailchimp subscription form into the footer by using a short code. However instead if inserting the form it just displays the code. Is there a way I can add a simple subscription form to the footer?

Hi,

Are you adding this via a text widget or directly into the template files?

If widget, then you will probably need to add this to your functions.php: add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’);

If you are adding it directly to the templates then you will need to use do_shortcode: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode
