When I click on the iCal link on any of my events, an iCal file downloads, but when it’s imported to a calendar (I tried Google Calendar and Apple), nothing shows up.

Any ideas as to why this may be?

Thanks!
Jennifer

I just checked my test site running 3.1.31.3 and importing the iCal file into google calendar and it seemed fine. Can you open the iCal file in a text editor and copy the contents and paste it into this post?

Hi,

Did you take any data out of the file before posting it here?

I downloaded a random ical from your site and it imported into my Google Calendar fine.

The one you linked above seems devoid of data which might be the reason for the problem.

Can you advise which event it relates to and what browser was used to download it please?

Hi, Dean –

I did not take any data out of the file.  It’s from this event: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/event-information?ee=1090

I don’t think it’s specific to the event, because I tried this one as well with no luck: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/event-information?ee=479

I tried it in both Chrome and Firefox.

It looks like some information is missing from the $all_meta array that should be getting populated in the template files. Do you have old template files in uploads/espresso/templates?

Hi, Sidney –

Define old?  Is there a file in particular where I should be looking for the data?

Thanks-
Jennifer

the $all_meta variable (array) is populated in the event_list.php and registration_page.php files. If you are looking at an individual event page, it will be coming from the registration_page.php template file, and if you are looking at the list of events it will be coming from the event_list.php template file.

Hi, Sidney –

You were right – this missing data was the culprit.  Once it was re-added, the iCal file worked as it was supposed to.

Thanks for your help!
Jennifer
