I would like to show the payment method on the event page.
I see that I need Payment methods Pro to do this from the forums.
However, I have MER – Multi-Event registrations installed. So When I try and activate Payment Methods Pro version – if does not install because the Multi-Event module is installed.
I’m trying to show the following
A) all credit and Debit cards accepted via Stripe
B) On receipt by Bank transfer, your Registration will be Approved
C) Invoice clients, you can register, but Registration is only approved on payment
Currently, my Primary Registrant has no workflow to know he/she is going to hit a payment query halfway through the registration process. How Can I convey this?
The templates and thanks are all set up correctly, However, I think they will need earlier visibility

It is quite important as we have an early bird offer. If the Registrant comes on and get the early bird invoice and then takes a long time to pay – I do not want to have to reject them at Approval due to late payment.
Is their another way to make Payment methods work?

Hi there,

I would like to show the payment method on the event page.
I see that I need Payment methods Pro to do this from the forums.

May I ask where you have seen this?

The reason I ask is if understand what you are trying to do correctly, the Payment Methods Pro add-on does not do what you are requesting.

That add-on allows you to create multiple ‘instances’ of a payment method and select which of those payment methods display on the payment information step for each event (and/or defaults for all events), it does not allow you to move the payment methods onto the event page.

However, I have MER – Multi-Event registrations installed. So When I try and activate Payment Methods Pro version – if does not install because the Multi-Event module is installed.

Correct, they are not compatible for a few reasons, but as an example lets say you add Event A with Stripe payment method 1 to the cart, then add Event B with Stripe payment method 2…. which payment method should EE use?

A) all credit and Debit cards accepted via Stripe

Ok, so you need the Stripe payment method enabled.

B) On receipt by Bank transfer, your Registration will be Approved

The bank transfer payment method is an offline payment method so it will not automatically approve the registration when you complete, you could set the default registration status to Approved (so all registrations are automatically approved) however, that will prevent this:

C) Invoice clients, you can register, but Registration is only approved on payment

Offline payment methods (such as bank transfer and invoice) set the registration status to the default status set on the event, so you can’t have one that automatically approved and another that does not without some custom development.

Currently, my Primary Registrant has no workflow to know he/she is going to hit a payment query halfway through the registration process. How Can I convey this?

Its not half way through, it’s the final step, so a rough idea of the steps to register are:

1. Select tickets.
2. Enter the registrant details for those tickets.
3. Select the payment method you wish to use and pay for said tickets.

If a user selects a paid ticket they will expect to select a method of payment for said ticket, correct?

If you want to add a note on the steps to register you could add one to the event description.

It is quite important as we have an early bird offer. If the Registrant comes on and get the early bird invoice and then takes a long time to pay – I do not want to have to reject them at Approval due to late payment.

May I ask, how moving the payment options to the first step prevents this?

Your users need to provide their choice of payment method and registrant details in either of those cases so I’m not sure I follow how this helps, my apologies if I’m misunderstanding.
