I need an invoice number to appear on my invoices

I’m using invoices quite a lot and I need a sequential serial number on each invoice. Has anybody been able to do this?

The invoice template is not very easy to customize at the moment. We have built a better system for this in EE 3.2 which should be available in the next few months.

To make changes in the current system. You will need to modify the event-espresso/gateways/invoice/template.php file.
