Hi everyone!

I just upgraded from EE3 to EE4 and I am having a really major problem!
I have an event that never expires, always open. Pretty much, people can sign up every day.
I could run this thing with EE3, but now I have that event just INACTIVE and I cannot run it at all.
I put 3 August 2018 as starting date and 3 August 2058 as end. But still nothing…

EE4 shows people who signed up until yeasterday.

Could you please help me out? It is VERY important. Otherwise I have to install a backup from the server, cancel EE4 and go back to EE3.
Thank you so much!

Stefano

Also, I cannot remove ADDRESS 2 and COUNTRY from the form and I cannot remove STATE, which shows Canadian and US states. I need Italian provinces.

OK guys, I made it!
But I have another problem, which is pretty big…
When I register to an event, the system keeps on telling me that the NAME field is mandatory.
Of course, I write my name but it doesn’t work.
I also need to remove ADDRESS 2 and COUNTRY from the form.

Please, help me out as fast as possible, I need EE to work straight away!

Thanks a lot.

Last but not least…
I created a new event, but on the registration page I only see NAME, SURNAME,ADDRESS.
Nothing else.
In EE3 I created a form called ADDRESS, which shows up on the registration pages of 2 event EE4 imported, but not on the new one.

Please help me out, it is VERY important!

Thank you.

Hi Stefano,

Just to quickly explain why you haven’t received a reply as of yet, support staff are available Monday – Friday: 7AM – 7PM EST/12PM – 12AM UTC

When I register to an event, the system keeps on telling me that the NAME field is mandatory.
Of course, I write my name but it doesn’t work.

Can you link me to an event I can view this on, please?

I also need to remove ADDRESS 2 and COUNTRY from the form.

To do that you need to go Event Espresso -> Registration form -> Question Groups -> Address information.

Uncheck the Address 2 and Country questions from that group and save.

I created a new event, but on the registration page I only see NAME, SURNAME,ADDRESS.
Nothing else.

You need to select which question groups are requested on the event, by default it will only request the Personal Information question group.

Edit the event and select the ‘Address information’ group in the question groups for the Primary Registrant (the top box) – http://take.ms/1CBvc

Hi Tony!

Don’t worry for the delay, not a problem at all!
I have been able to fix everything myself, but the problem with the name.

Here is a page to register to an event: http://www.irsa-stringers.com/eventi/corso-di-primo-livello-irsa-stringer-2/

Sorry, it’s in Italian but it should be pretty straightforward. 😉

Hmm, which browser are you using?

I’m not getting any errors when creating a registration, although it looks like the EE CSS isn’t loading on the page.

Are you using a plugin to load minify the JS/CSS on the page?

I have seen you signed up perfectly!
I am using Firefox 62.0b14 (64-bit)
Yes, I use a plugin to minify everything! LOL
I use Autoptimize.

Yes, I use a plugin to minify everything! LOL
I use Autoptimize.

You’ll likely be running into a load order issue, try disabling the minify function and retest.

Tony, I don’t know what happened…

I switched off Autoptimizer and EE was working perfectly.
Then I put it back on and guess what? No problem at all, it works!
Maybe it cleared the cache or something, I really don’t know…

Anyway, thank you so much for your help, greatly appreciated 😉

You’ll likely run into problems again if you minify and/or cache EE pages.

I recommend disabling those features for pages that run EE.
