Can someone help me figure out what is happening with this error message?

Hi Jeff, On which page is this error displaying?

I just updated to version 3.1.28 and now am not able to complete registration for any events! I did go into the payment details and delete the custom image button I had in there. I also deactivated and reactivated the plugins. I am no longer getting the error message, but I am not able to get to the payment page.

Please help. Event Espresso is not functioning properly for us.

Hi Jeff,

Are there any template files from the previous version in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates? If so, these may need to be updated to be compatible with the new version, or removed if there haven’t been any customizations made to them.

The website is http://www.medicinepath.org. The error was coming up as I tried to confirm the registration details.

I do not know if this affects it, but we had paid for a support token to have some custom work done on the language in the confirmation process. Will that be affecting the ability for people to pay and register?

I also just upgraded and am seeing this problem on the what should be the page where registrants are directed to pay. My error is slightly different:

I think I need help updating these files from the previous version that you guys helped up edit. Does this mean that every time these is an update, I have to pay for a support token to have you guys make these changes again?

Josh, I changed the name of the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates folder to /templates-old, then deactivated and reactivated the plugin. Now it appears to be working fine.

Hi Jeff,

It depends on which files were involved. If modifications were made to a file that had to be updated, the modifications will need to be copied over to the new version.

@james,

Can you please start a new tread so we can help you there? Please include any details that may help us troubleshoot this, specifically whether or not there are any modified files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/

Hi Josh, this is a list of changes that were made when we purchased the support token:

I just purchased a support token and need help with the following:

1 – Could I change the language “start time” to “arrival time” on the registration page?

2 – For payment confirmation page, I would like to change “Price Per Attendee” to “Financial Contribution Per Attendee” & “Total Financial Contribution” at the bottom, and on the registration page I would also like to change “Price” to “Financial Contribution”

3 – Also on the page after registration is confirmed I would like to change “Your registration is not complete until payment is received.” … to … “Your registration is not complete until your financial contribution is received.”

4 – Also on the venue information, is it possible to remove the “map & directions” link from the registration page? We prefer to keep the venue location private and send directions in the confirmation email. The city name is sufficient for us to refer to the location, but then the “map and directions” link is misleading and inaccurate.

One additional change we hope to make is to remove the words “Free Event” from the registration page of a ceremony that has no price connected with it.
Ideally, I’d love to know how to remove it and add “Open to all who come in a good way.” but just removing “Free event” works also.

This is for http://www.medicinepath.org/

Hi Josh,
We were not notified that we would need to do these upgrades every time there was a software update.

Can you help me restore the changes that were made with the support token? I am now able to register and the payment screen now comes up, but we have lost the following alterations that were made:
