HTML code not rendering properly in description

I inserted html code for a star icon in the description of a datetime. The star renders properly in wp-admin edit mode, but the ASCII code shows in the live mode. Please see live site: https://www.leftbrainpro.com/events/ohio-small-business-govcon-summit/

I was trying to cleanup the format of text with star bullets. Any guidance greatly appreciated!

Hi there,

That HTML should be working there, it does on my site – http://take.ms/F0hcy

If you edit the event and look in the datetime description field, does it show the correct value there? It should have ★, I’m guessing right now it has & amp;#9733.

Try editing just a single line to match what I had, save the event and view it.

Does it then show correctly for that single line?

I added “;” with no luck. Still not rendering properly.

Found the issue. Now works. Code somehow keeps inserting “amp”

&amp ; (without the space) is the URL encoded version of &.

Does it keep changing or has it only changed once?
