I used the attendee mover to move an event participant to a different event; however, he still shows up in the participant list for the original event, even though his status is “Canceled”. I have another participant who had to cancel. I updated his registration status to Canceled, but he too still shows up in the participant list for that event.
So how do I remove / cancel / terminate with minimum prejudice a person from an event. Cancelling them doesn’t seem to do the trick.

Hi there,
Which event list are are you referring to?
Within the admin the registration will still show when cancelled, so I’m assuming your using [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] on the front end?

Correct: I am using [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] shortcode in the front. Which code should I use to see the correct list (without cancellations)?

What version number of Event Espresso are you using?
By default that shortcode will only output attendees with a status of Approved unless you are using something like:
[ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES status=all]
