How to manage a "season pass" type of promotion…?

We are a boating education organization and are considering how we might be able to create a promotion whereby the customer can purchase a bundle of 3 of our classes and then take those classes when their schedule matches ours. I was thinking some sort of one-off coupon code generator that can be given to students who purchase the package and they could then register and enter that code for the classes that match their schedule, which would give them a 100% discount at the time. I don’t think the system supports that kind of single-use coupon codes, right? I guess we could sell them the package with our WooCommerce app, then email them a common coupon code that just works, but then we’d have the manual step to verify they had purchased the package and hadn’t already used it.
Any ideas I hadn’t considered for managing this?

Hi there,

Just to confirm I understand how you want this to work, you have 3 events in which you want a promotion code available that will give the user 100% discount once on each of those events 3 events?

Can the user register for all 3 events at once and if so, is the promotion code then fully ‘used’?

It’s going to depend on how your events are set up if this will work, if they are individual events in Event Espresso then promotions add-on won’t work for it. If the events are 3 individual events with multiple datetimes it may work for you.

Can you link me to an example of the events you want this to apply to?

Another option is to have a ‘season pass’ create a user account for the registrant, then have a ticket on each of the events that shows up for season pass holders and then monitor the number of registrations they add and prevent additional registrations if they have none left. That will require custom development to work through as we don’t have the registration monitoring available within Event Espresso itself.
