How to make use of the attendee-ID shortcode

Hello,

I am using EE 3.1.36.6.P and I need to add the attendee-ID on various places for an upcoming big event.

This works fine for the badge, used in
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/tickets/templates/badge-sm.php

Attendee-ID: [att_id]<br>

But I also need to put it into the user’s customized confirmation email, but using [att_id] does not work there.

In the Invoice-PDF it is already at the right-top.
Can you tell me how or where I can modify the PDF invoice template, so that I can put this attendee-ID also in other places than the right-top corner?

Thanks, Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Currently the attendee_id is not available within the custom confirmation emails.

It would require some custom development to override the function used to parse the shortcodes and add the additional shortcode to that so that it can be used in the confirmation emails. We have an open ticket to allow custom shortcodes to be added to the confirmation emails using a filter, I’ll check in on that ticket.

In the Invoice-PDF it is already at the right-top.

To do this you’ll need to grab a copy of the Invoice gateway from /event-espresso/gateways/, grab the Invoice directory from there and copy it to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways/

You can then edit the template.php file within that directory and add your customisations there.
