How to insert QR code on registration emails etc

Hi I am having trouble inserting the QR code. I thought this was supposed to be system generated?

What is the problem you are having?

The QR codes are system generated but I’m not sure I understand your question, can you explain further please?

Where does it generate? Does it not generate on pending registration details etc. or only when it is fully paid and it is done during invoice? or payment is made?

It’s generated by the ticketing add-on, but you can add qr codes to any registration email by following this guide:

Is it not part of what we purchased before? It used to be part of the features list which is why we opted for EE4 so that we can do an add on for ticketing and QR code option.

Hi David,

You have the EE4 Everything License which gives you access to EE4 and all of its Add-ons, so yes it is included with your purchase.

The QR codes are part of the EE4 Ticketing Add-on so you need to have that installed and activated on your site to use them.

Once activated you can use the [QRCODE_*] shortcode within the messages system to output QR Codes. However the shortcode is only valid within the ticket message type.

With EE4 you build the ticket within its own message type (which can use the QRCODE shortcode) and then you can link to that ticket from within the other messages (for example Pending Payment) using the TICKET_URL shortcodes.

If you can explain how your trying to use the QR codes we may be able to provide more detailed information for your use case.
