Hi, I’m currently using Espresso 3.1.25.P. I would like to import my excel data into Espresso as a main database to keep track my participants. How can I do so? Thanks

Hi Gabriel, At this time, Event Espresso does not have an attendee data import feature. |

Hi Josh, is there any workaround we can do at SQL side instead of import via csv? I need to import around 4000 participants and it’s a big hassle to key in one by one 🙁 Pls help. |
That might be possible. What you could try is enter a few attendees manually, then export the wp_events_answer, wp_events_attendee, wp_events_attendee_cost, and wp_attendee_meta tables into CSV files via phpmyadmin. Then add your existing attendee data to the CSV’s, taking care to match the format of the manually entered data. Then import these back into the db. Test this out with a few additional attendees before taking on the full list. |

I would be interested to see this feature added as well. |

+1 for an attendee data import feature. |
We just added a beta version of this last week: |

Hello, I’ve tried activating the plug-in. When I pick an event, go to the attendee list and select ‘Import CSV’ I get the following error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare uploader() (previously declared in /home/voltron1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-attendee-import/espresso_import.php:72) in /home/voltron1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/event-management/csv_import.php on line 91 Thanks, |
Hi Terrence, Sorry for the trouble. I forgot to mention that it will only work with 3.1.27, which was released today (was supposed to be released last week). |

Hi Seth, the plug-in is working, thanks. I wasn’t quite able to follow the template re importing custom fields. Are there more detailed instructions posted somewhere? Terrence |

Hi Terrence, As the plugin is still Beta and so new there really isn’t any documentation on it yet. IF you mean the Answers section, its basically following the question order. On a fresh install the questions will be Now notice how in the sample csv file they are marked as the number refers to the question the first bar is a separator between the number and the data, the double bars separate the questions X | question || The last question doesnt need the trailing || |
