Hello,
We have two Q.

1st one is how to give a full refund to the attendee?

2nd, for some reason no notifications are being send to attendee on the pending status. We see the registration details and the red mark indicating that the registration is not complete, but the attendee is not receiving any reminders of not completed registration. this is really a problem, because ones they navigate away from payment page there is no way for them to complete the payment.
Thanks

Hi Paul,

1. You can mark the attendee cancelled by navigating to the attendee list for the event (Event Overview -> Event -> Attendees)

Edit the attendee, click the ‘View/Edit Payment’ link – http://take.ms/We3BL

Then on the left set the status to cancelled – http://take.ms/92P5i

Event Espresso will not issue a refund through your payment gateway, you will need to do this manually.

2. By default the registration confirmation is only sent when the user reaches the ‘Thank you’ page, which would be after the registration is finalized. Currently you only have PayPal active, so this would be after the user has selected PayPal and paid for the registration.

There are a couple of options, you can either set EE3 to send the confirmation email regardless of payment, this will send the email when the user click ‘Confirm registration’ before selecting a payment. Sometime this can cause confusion in users may think they are full registered without paying.

You can se this within Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received? Set that to Yes and save the settings.

Or

Activate the Invoice gateway for users that wish to return to pay later. When they select Invoice they can click a link to Finalize the registration and send the confirmation email, within the (and the invoice) is a link to Pay Online.

Thanks, I was really expecting it should send automatic email as a reminder that registration is pending and has to be paid. It’s really a headache if you have thousands attendees, to go though all of those who did not paid and send reminders manually
