If we have an event that has say, 15 places, which all sell out, but we want to squeeze another person in, how do we get them to pay without opening up another space on the event that anyone else can book on? Is there a way to get someone to pay for a space on a sold out event?
I have people that have registered on an event and I want to allow them to pay, even though the event is showing as sold out. I don’t want anyone else to book on, I just want the people who are already registered to be allowed to pay. How do I do this?
You will need to open up another space on the event if the event is sold out. You can prevent anyone else from registering by setting the “Show Ticket Selector” option to no. Then after you add the extra space, you can send them a payment reminder via the Event Espresso > Transactions page.
Thanks Josh, I’ve done that and it’s working. It’s a shame that the event can’t still be listed as sold out though, as people will look at it and think there’s something wrong with the ticket selector- but I’ll change it back to sold out once the people I need to pay have paid.
Many thanks.
You could add a note to the event name or event description that lets them know it’s still sold out.
