How to get payment URL for an abandoned transaction?

I note that if I manually create a pending registration in the backend, the associated unpaid transaction has a payment url that I can access to send on.

However, if a registration was made via the front end and abandoned prior to payment, I also get a pending registration but no way of retrieving the payment url for that particular transaction unless I send an email from EE which then contains the payment URL.

Is there a way to find the payment URL for an abandoned, pending registration?

Hi there,

The abandoned transaction also show the payment link.

I’m assuming you are getting the link using the icon on the transaction?

If so you’ll find the same link for abandoned transactions:

Event Espresso -> Transactions -> Abandonded transactions

Just incase its any use, there is another method to grab that URL using the Invoice. It’s more long-winded than the above but if you open up the Invoice for the registration in question:

Event Espresso -> Registrations -> {find registration} -> Click

The defautl template will display a ‘Make a payment’ link at the bottom of the page if there is monies owed on the transaction, that’s the same link as the above.

Got it, thanks again. This is a great help. We accept credit cards online but some of our customers get part way through the checkout process and abandon the transaction in order to contact us asking various pre-sales questions and so it’s helpful to be able to then give them their direct payment link to proceed to finalise their booking.

So, may I ask, is there somewhere else you would prefer that link was available or does the above work ok?

I can’t say we’ll add the link in another location but I can pass any feedback along to the team so we can discuss any changes that may help.
