Currerntly I am using Version 3.1.35.1.P and on this page: http://cloud2.hyperweb.ca/~sosfirs2/?page_id=1684 – I am using this shortcode: [ESPRESSO_TABLE category_identifier=”recertification”]

but as you see on the actual page the venue information is not displaying. This is a very important piece of information that is missing from that table.

On the older version of EE this info does appear but strangely not on the new version. Not sure if I’m using the right shortcode or not.

How can I have the venue info show in this table?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The Custom Files add on has not been updated recently, so nothing has been changed. As such I can only assume that the table php file has been modified to remove the venue details.

I would compare the files you have (specifically the custom-files/templates/espresso_table.ph file) with a fresh, default copy downloaded from your account page to see what the differences are.

You can use online services such as http://www.diffchecker.com/ to help with that.

Hi Dean
Thanks for the reply. So I’ve done this now and there seems to be lots of differences between the previous version file expresso_table.php file and the updated event expresso file. Should this be the case? What is my solution here knowing that there are differences?

Hi,

Well, it shouldn’t be the case unless you are either using a very old version of the add on (very old) or it has been modified, which is the more likely reason.

The custom files add on has always just meant to be used as a base for modifications.

You could rename the current esspresso_table.php (so that you keep a copy of it) and upload the default and see if that works any better (though the default does not get data from the Venue Manager)

As an alternative, you could also consider looking at the Custom Templates Addon – https://eventespresso.com/product/custom-templates/ – which is available in your account page.

I don’t think the file has been changed but can’t say for sure. I’ve downloaded the Custom Templates Add-on v1.0.zip file again. This file contains expresso-custom-templates > templates > events-table > index.php

Is this what I need? If so where exactly do I upload this file? I thought it would be the expresso_table.php file I’d be replacing. Just want to make sure I’m doing things properly here.

HI Dean
Just want to confirm here that the version listed in my account for Custom Templates Add on v1.0 is the currrent version. And after downloading the file, what is the process for installing it.

Hopefully then I can get the table listings to show properly with the venue.

Thanks again.

Hi,

After downloading you will need to upload the files via FTP – please see here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/custom-files-addon/

Also I would recommend copying or renaming the existing files so that it is not over written in case you need the files content.

Thanks for all you help here. EE is now update and I’ve got the custome files add-on working as well.
