How to display events that are tagged with multiple categories?

Hello. I’m new to EE and have inherited a site with several hundred events already built out. A sizable collection of these events are assigned to multiple categories. I’m attempting to create a page that displays all events from a specific category. When queried, events that have more than one category assigned do not show up in their single category query. I’ve tried the shortcodes, as well as a regular WordPress category queries to no avail.

How can I show results that include events that have multiple categories?

Hi there,

Using something like [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=the-event-category] should display the events within the category slug you provided regardless of how many other categories it is in.

Can you post an example of the shortcode you are using and the page it is used on please?

Thanks for your help.

Here’s a codepen if you need to see the page template market (pretty standard):

This is the page in question: http://dev.questira.com/event-test/ (password: dev)

This is the shortcode, which I’ve tried directly in the template via do_shortcode, as well as running it in a page:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=quest-webinars]

Hmm, seems to work with other categories, just not the category I was testing with. Must be a data problem. I’ll take it from here – thanks for the help!
