In includes/functions/email.php starting on line 416 is the function that prepares and sends the admin email.

Thanks Sydney. I made changes to the email.php template and added it to

/worldofvirtues.com/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates

but the changes haven’t taken effect. Did I add it to the correct folder?

Regards
Jenny

Hi Jennifer,

The email.php file is a core file. As such we generally don’t recommend modification unless absolutely necessary. The file cannot be copied to the uploads directory (well it can but as you discovered it wont do anything), so you have to modify it in place. Because of this, any plugin updates will over write the modification, meaning you should retain a note about the modification and redo it after update.

Event Espresso version 4.0 when it lands will allow easy and full access to edit the admin emails so this will not be an issue going forward.
