How to change background of pop-up event description?

Problem: We have the Calendar displayed on a page, and I like the pop-up event details. BUT, the background is transparent, which causes a readability problem for events on the right side (Saturdays). They extend into the background area, and become almost impossible to read.

How do I change that background to a solid? Can it be done without having to redo the work every time we update?

Oh, the page is http://fairregistry.org/event-registration/calendar. I can’t navigate to September (?!) where you can see the problem! Guess I need to see how to fix navigation, too.

Sounds like the theme is overriding the default calendar display.

So, are the popups supposed to be opaque? I wouldn’t care that they’re transparent, if they all opened directly over the calendar. They’re just unreadable over the site background.

The backgrounds should be solid. You can see an example here:

I am 99% positive that your theme is overriding the default styles of the calendar. You can test my theory by temporarily switching to the the Twenty Eleven theme.

If the theme is overriding the default styles, then you might want to talk to the theme developer to help correct the issue.
