How does a user cancel his/her registration?

Hi there,

How can a user who registers for an event cancel his/her registration? I see that there is a cancellation confirmation page, but I don’t see how/where someone would actually cancel.

AND – if they cancel, is their money automatically refunded or do I have to go in and manually refund them via PayPal? Thank you!

Hi,

The user can’t cancel their event unless the WP User Integration addon is installed and they registered for the event while being logged in. (This allows for the user and registration to be linked together).

This would allow them to cancel events via their profile or via the front end profile (via shortcode).

Event Espresso doesn’t handle refunds so you would need to do it via the payment processor.

Hi there! Thank you so much!! One more question – we have to buy a license in order to buy add-ons, right? Add-ons can’t be purchased alone with Event Espresso Lite, correct?

Hi Stefani,

One add-on (the calendar) works with the lite version, the rest of the add-ons require the paid version of Event Espresso. The WP User Integration add-on currently works only with Event Espresso 3.
