Probably being really stupid but what is the basic code for a page to set up a calendar? We used events and want to see a whole calendar month on the page with blank dates and key dates when events are on but only getting the headers then blank space. Help much appreciated 🙂

Hi Lorraine,

Are you using the Lite version of Event Espresso? It doesn’t come with a full calendar. You need the Premium version to get the calendar add-on.

Nope have the premium version – clearly just not knowing how to use it!! 🙂 … You can see with this test page what I mean

Code I have put in is

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]
[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”1-day-5-star-bootcamp-1337103106″]
[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”1-day-5-star-bootcamp-1337103106″ show_expired=”true”]
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”month”]

Thanks! 🙂

Lorraine,

This looks like a plugin conflict.

Try to rule out any plugin conflicts. Deactivate all non Event Espresso plugins and test to see if the issue is still occurring. If it is not, then we know it is a problem with another plugin. You can then find out which plugin it is by reactivating each plugin individually and testing to see if the problem starts happening after the activation. When it occurs after activating a plugin, then we know this is the culprit.

Also, there may be a theme function that is causing the issue. You can check for this by first switching to the TwentyTwelve theme (or any other theme from the wordpress.org theme repository, all of these themes pass a thorough code quality review before inclusion.)

If you are still struggling, if you can provide a link tot he calendar page, it could help us figure out if there is a javascript problem and where.

Hi,

The simplest answer is to updated Event Espresso (and the calendar add on and any other add on plugins you are using) to the latest version.

Whats happening is that you are using the latest WordPress and the latest jQuery, unfortunately there was a change in the jQuery code that stopped the calendar from working, it is of course fixed, just not in your version.

If you dont want to update then you should be able to resolve it by doing a find and replace in the fullcalendar.min.js file in the calendar addon to replace curCSS with css.

Please remember to back up your site before updating.
