Dear Support Team, |

Dear Support Team, After duplicating an event and creating the associated tickets, I encountered an issue where I am unable to hide expired tickets. This is particularly perplexing, as it should be a brand-new event. I have spent over four hours trying to resolve this without success. It seems essential to conduct thorough beta testing before releasing updates to customers, especially in the absence of support videos or documentation to guide us through the changes. The current workflow feels illogical; despite my attempts to deselect the expired tickets in the grid, the submit button remains grayed out, preventing me from proceeding. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter and any guidance you can provide to navigate the new interface more effectively. Thank you for your attention to this issue. |

Hi there,
I’m sorry to hear that. Let’s see if we can clarify some things and get this working for you.
If you duplicate an event it should copy all of the current details and then allow you to edit those as essentially ‘new’ tickets. So if you have expired tickets on the ‘original’ event they will copy over but you can edit those to be ‘upcoming’ etc or remove them. Sounds like something isn’t right here and the easiest way for me to see this would likely be with a quick video meeting (if you’re ok with that?) so you can share your screen and I can see exactly what is happening as you work through the event. I can set that up if you have the time to discuss this?
I agree, it is and we had EE5 in beta for over a year. Not everyone likes the new interface and we are collecting the feedback given to see what we can do to improve on it. Are you aware you can currently switch back to the legacy editor? Event Espresso -> Events -> Default Settings. Set ‘Activate Advanced Editor?’ to Legacy Editor. I do recommend trying to work with the new editor as that’s where all our future developments will be made but we included the above option for situations like this. |
