How do we keep programs on the calendar after they pass?

We just upgraded Event Espresso and would like to know if (and how) it’s possible to keep the programs on the calendar even after they pass. We’d like to be able to see recent programs that have taken place. If you look at our calendar now: https://dawesarb.org/learn/calendar/, and go back in time, it looks like we didn’t have anything in the past. There are certain programs that we have to cut off (registration wise) before the actual event occurs, and that too makes the event disappear. This confuses users and freaks out some of our staff when they see that the events aren’t on the website.

Any help you can provide would be extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Jenna,

You can simply change the shortcode on that page to include show_expired=”true”, the Calendar will then display expired events.

So if you currently only have:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]

You would change it to be:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]

You can find a list of all of the available shortcodes for the EE3 Calendar here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#calendar
