How do I speak with someone to answer questions I have about using Event Espresso with InfusionSoft? Is there a number to call?

Hello Gail,

We generally answer questions directly here on the forums. What is it I can help you with?

We have multiple prices for an event based on membership types. Is the membership determined by InfusionSoft or by WordPress?

Also, is EE compatible with the Themeforest theme: Evento?

Hi Gail,

The way that our Membership add-on works is if the person is a registered user of the WordPress powered site, they are a member and can log in to get access to member only events and member only pricing. The Membership add-on that we support does not currently have a feature that makes it possible to offer different pricing based on different levels of membership. It’s built with a very simple feature set: If they are logged into the site, they get access to all members prices, if they are not logged into the site, the members prices are not offered.

We do have a s2 member integration in the works that will add support for member-level pricing tiers, but it is not ready to release yet.

With the Evento theme, overall I’d say this is a good theme from a developer that is known for good quality coding. I’d say it’s more than likely compatible with Event Espresso. There may be a few cosmetic tweaks needed to make it look “just right” on the registration pages, but that’s something that can be usually done with a little help from support or even its theme options.

Do you think that we could use a discount code for each type of membership type that would work? Would it require just one product item in InfusionSoft with various discount codes so that the price would be reduced to the appropriate amount for the membership type?

Hi Gail,

This should work, and it turns out that’s what another customer is using. He outlined how he set up the discounts for each membership level in this older forum post:

Thanks…a couple more questions
Using Infusionsoft:
Is the payment processed through Infusionsoft?
If the contact already exists, will EE recognize it in IS and not create a duplicate?
If one person registers others, how is this recorded in IS – under the person who registers others or each individual registered?
Will a tag be applied to each individual registered in a group registration?

Another pricing question: We have one price for the first person registered from a member company and a lower price for additional people registered. When doing a group registration, is it possible to select a price for each registration or do they all get entered with the same price as the first registrant?

Can selection of breakout sessions be included in the registration? If so, will this work for group registrations?

Thanks!

Hi Gail,

You can process payments through Infusionsoft or your preferred gateway.

The contact is based on email, so if the email is the same they will not be duplicated.

It depends, if the attendees data is obtained (name and email as a minimum) then they are all set up as individual contacts. If one person buy X tickets but without having to provide the additional ticket holders details then only one user is set up.

I do not believe tagging has been introduced as yet.

Pricing wise, it depends on the setup. By default they will all use the same price. However if you use the Multiple Event Registration system (a cart system) then the users can select different tickets, so one ticket X and 5 ticket Y. Issue here would be honesty, they could easily forego ticket X and just select ticket Y we have no pre-requisite feature.

Alternatively you could you our Volume Discount plugin (still in Beta) to discount the cart when 2 or more tickets are selected.

If the breakout sessions are part of the event (pricing wise) then you can use custom questions for the user to select their options. This goes for group booking too, if the additional ticket holders details is taken (you can choose what info they should provide).

If the breakout sessions cost in addition to the main ticket then you would need to use the Multiple Event Registration plugin as these would need to be separate events. As mentioned above we dont currently support pre-requisite events.

Alternatively to that we have a Beta release plugin called Price Modifier, which when the user answers a custom question it can modify the main ticket price, which could be really useful for breakout sessions.

Hope that helps, let us know if you need further information or clarification.

Another question…sorry
When integrating with Infusionsoft, do products have to be set up there in addition to EE?

Hey,

No need to be sorry.

Not to my knowledge no, all the testing I have done I havent added a product in infusionsoft and the contacts are added correctly.

Can one person register others? Like. . could an office manager sign up two or three execs? On who’s record would the investment show? Would the attendees receive the event tags?

Hi Victoria,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Yes Event Espresso allows one person to sign up multiple others. Each attendee (if they have different email addresses) will appear as a new contact. I believe they would receive tags as well if they are created as new contacts.

Boy, it would sure be easier if I could just speak to someone to go through this and see if it will work for us! What kind of a calendar is it? Does it function in month view, list view, event view? We have a membership. How does EE work when selling one event to members and non-members? If an office manager signs up two company execs and we use the InfusionSoft merchant account, on who’s account does the investment show?
Can we use the Infusionsoft shopping cart (plus the IS merchant account) or do we have to use yours?

Hi Victoria,

Boy, it would sure be easier if I could just speak to someone to go through this and see if it will work for us!

Depending on time zone and availability, you can contact sales @ eventespresso.com and they can possibly arrange a phone call.

What kind of a calendar is it?

Javascript, based on the Fullcalendar script.

Does it function in month view, list view, event view?

The calendar has several views:
Month http://d.pr/i/8C8W
Basic week http://d.pr/i/xI3n
Basic day http://d.pr/i/GT1T
Agenda week http://d.pr/i/dAwR
Agenda day

We have a membership. How does EE work when selling one event to members and non-members?

With the WP User Integration (Members) add on, logged in users can be shown a member price instead of the usual price. Membership registration and login isn’t handled by Event Espresso.

If an office manager signs up two company execs and we use the InfusionSoft merchant account, on who’s account does the investment show?

With the Infusionsoft add on, if the two people provide unique email adresses, they are set up as individual contacts. If the primary attendee (the one doing the registration) is not required to obtain other peoples details then it is just one person set up.

Can we use the Infusionsoft shopping cart (plus the IS merchant account) or do we have to use yours?

You can use the default Infusionsoft payment system (we have added it as a gateway type in the plugin) or one of our gateways, it is up to you.

If you have more questions or need clarification, please just let me know.
