Is recurring event manager the correct way to create a single multi-day class that shows up as Tuesday/Thursday, for example? Is there a better way to do this? I created a test and the two days look like separate events everywhere.
The recurring event manager uses an event as a template and creates additional events based on a schedule that is selected (e.g. repeat every Wednesday for two months).
You could manually create this event and select the two dates here:
EE3 doesn’t have the ability to split events over separate days liek that, they need to be consecutive.
EE4 does allow events to be over none consecutive days.
In EE3, the only possible workaround would be to make separate events (depending on the number either manually or via Recurring Event Manager), and link all of them to the first event in the series via the Alternate Registration Page option in the event editor. This will allow the events to appear on different days in the calendar, and as different days in the event list.
Dean, I guess that means I will install EE4 and see if I can get it to work for me. Most of my events are in the form of “every tuesday evening for four weeks“, so it sounds like EE4 is a much better fit. The calendar was the most important plugin that I was using, and I see you have a calendar for EE4 now!
