How do I change website license key association?

I am using EE on a WordPress site that I have been developing in a “sandbox” folder on my site, “sandbox/[MyURL]”… so the URL has been “http://sandbox.[MyURL]”

I just moved the WordPress site from the “sandbox/[MyURL]” folder to its parent, “[My URL]”, so the new address of the site is just “http://[MyURL]”. I’m using the same database, just moving the WP file structure and settings, so no change there.

My EE site license is currently associated with (Active on:) “sandbox.[MyURL]”. Do I need to change its association to “[MyURL]” even though I’m using the same database (and will not be changing that)?

If so, how do I change the association?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Roger. I’ve reset it for you because you’re not trying to use your license on a brand new site; just moving from a development platform to a live platform.

Thank you, Garth.

But now on my EE profile, under the license key, it says: “Not active”.

What do I need to do to activate it at the new address?

Let me clarify the question. If I input the new license key in the Support License section of my Event Espresso > General Settings page, is that sufficient?

Do I need to do anything else?

That should do it yes.
