99% of the text strings are translatable, so you could use the poedit application to make an english to english translation. Be sure to upload the generated .po and .mo files to the event-espresso/languages directory and make a backup of these.
They can also be changed in the core files and in one of the template files. This string occurs 3 different times:
line 133 of /includes/admin-reports/add_new_attendee.php
line 136 of /includes/function.php
line 236 of /templates/registration_page_display.php
If you have a different version of Event Espresso, the line numbers may vary, so you might try using an application like notepad++ (win), textmate (mac) or sublime text editor to do a search.
If you have a lot of text strings to change, the poedit route is the better way to go. You can download PoEdit for free here: http://www.poedit.net/
