How do I add custom fields to an event accouncement

I need to added custom fields to an event. Not questions for the registrant but information to populate while creating the event. For example, Course Number. What is the best way of going about this?

I would suggest the Custom Meta fields https://eventespresso.com/wiki/add-new-event/#event-meta
