I have located thru paypal support, where to enter a URL to return a person to the registration site after paying. However, I want them to get a confirmation that they have paid in whichever choice they used (bank draft or paypal). Paypal said I need that to be set up through Event Espresso. Where do I do that?

There really isn’t anything to be set up, that happens automatically. If that’s not happening, then something on your site may be preventing the return to the site.
Are you using the PayPal Express gateway option? If not, here’s the guide that shows how to set up PayPal Express, which is recommended:
