I set up a non-coded promotion (10% off) that runs on an event. I want to offer a special group of people a new, coded promotion for the same event that gives more discount (20% off). The goal is that the people from this group go to the registration page, they’ll see the banner with 10% off, input their code on the field “Promotion Code”, and the discount will update from 10% off to 20% off and give the adjusted price. Is that possible?

Hi there,
It’s possible to apply a promocode to the event ticket if there’s already an existing promotion, but it will not override the existing promotion. What you can do instead is set your coded promotion to discount an additional amount so the two discounts together add up to 20%.
So for example:
your original ticket full price is $100.00,
the initial 10% discount changes the price to $90.00,
an 11.11% discount promotion code changes the price to $80.00. So in the end the discounts combine to equal 20% off the original price.
Also please note for the above to work you’ll need to set both promotions to “Promo Is Exclusive” > No.
