Hiding past events – simple solution?

I would like to hide past events so that only upcoming events are visible on the registration page. When I searched for info on this, I found something saying what code to insert. Is there a simple way to do this, or do I have to go into the code? I don’t have much experience with that. Thanks!

Can you link me to the page you are referring to, please?

We have an option to exclude expired events from the event lists in:

Event Espresso -> Events -> Templates.

In the ‘Event List Pages’ section is a ‘Display Expired Events’ option, set that to no to remove them.
