On the registration page, I want my attendees to use the “Add to Cart” link, as it brings them to the form I want them to use. Can I hide the alternate “Register” link? I would also like to take the link off of the name of the registration. Also, would there be a way to switch the “Add to Cart” to say “Register”? Thanks! |

Hello Ellie, Yes these things can be done, but you will need to edit some files to do so. Firstly I would copy the event_list_display.php and event_list.php from event-espresso/templates to uploads/espresso/templates on your website. Please copy, dont move them. Hide the Register link – you can do this either via the themes CSS or by editing the event_list_display.php (remove the anchor text) Removing the title link – this will have to be done by editing the event_list_display.php to remove the anchor tag surrounding the title. Add to Cart to Register – this can be done in the event_list_display.php by changing the anchor text. |

Thanks! It looks great! I have one more question… I want to have an add-on as a second price within the same registration. Is there a way to turn off some of the questions for an alternative registration, but keep them for the main one? I understand this might be complicated. Alternatively, could I have a limit of 2 registrations, but not let each selection go above 1? For example, I’d like to set the first at one, so you cannot de-select it, then the second could be either 0 or 1. Thanks! |

Hi Ellie, These are both quite interesting questions. The short answer is no, to both. However, it could be worked around using the Multiple Event Registration add on. Creating a main event and then create an event for your add on package. These can then be set with different questions/question groups. You can also set the attendee limit to 1 as needed so a user can only select the add on once per registration. Only flaw to this is that the user would have to enter their Personal Information twice, though we now have an option for users to copy info from one event to another so this at least reduces the duplication for the end user. You would also probably need to use a custom event list or the event tables shortcode to display the events together (i would suggest tying them together using event categories) It doesn’t stop the user from not selecting the main event though. This is something we have been discussing internally recently, as there seems to be a need for this type of system so it may be something we will incorporate in future versions. |
