hello i’m trying to limit some of the fields/sections that the Event Manager role can see when adding an event. Is this possible? To hide some of the sections like the Promotion Section or the Create a post section?
thanks

Hi,

Sorry but that is not possible with the default plugins. You could perhaps create a custom plugin or script to hide them by either hiding with CSS/JS or de-registering the meta boxes.

hello to continue with the event manager. I’ve notice that with the Event Manager Role:
1. you cannot upload a featured image?
2. How can you let this role access question groups
3. how does the WP admin or EE admin receive notifications that an Event Manager submitted an event?

Hi,

1. Go to the USer Roles section, click the Event Manager role and in the bottom right select the upload_files capability. Then save.

2. Currently they can only create their own questions.

3. I assume you are trying to use it to allow general users to create events? The Event Managers role is designed for staff members and trusted users, so doesn’t provide a facility to notify the admin. YOu could create a custom function to do this though. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-3-1-action-hooks/

You can use the event manager role to do that. To be clear, you’ll need to make sure that the Roles and Permissions Pro add-on is installed and active in order to use assign the Event Manager role.
