Hide default pages from bar

Hi!
I’ve been trying to hide the default pages from my navigation bar but it is absolutely impossible. I first tried changing them to “private” but the plugin stopped working and people could not register. Then I tried another plugin “Exclude pages”, but it does not work. I’m using Event Espresso 4 decaf. I would really appreciate some help.

You can customize the site’s navigation bar by using the WordPress Appearance Menu screen. Here’s a link to its documentation:
