I would like to have the option to easily show or hide the attendee numbers on the course calendar? How can I do that?

Also, I have another issue that was closed, probably due to not responding. I am still having this problem and would like to resolve it. It started doing this recently, it was working properly at one point, I did have some custom code done by your developers, not sure if that’s what broke it. Please see this post for the background: https://eventespresso.com/topic/fancy-header-stopped-working-properly/

I do not want to install another plugin and it didn’t happen before and cannot guarantee that is the solution, basically I do not want a bandaid on the original problem. thanks!

Hi Michelle, here is feedback on your questions:

would like to have the option to easily show or hide the attendee numbers on the course calendar? How can I do that?

The events calendar does not have an option to show the attendee count in the tooltip.

Regarding the email issue, keep in mind that Event Espresso does not send its own emails. It relies on a native function in WordPress called wp_mail(). That function then uses the local mail server to send out email notifications. This means that changes to the local mail server by your webhost could cause issues with emails not going out.

I would take a look at a transactional email service such as Mandrill or Postmark app since they’ll take over sending emails from your local mail server.

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/

Here is another article about the difficulty of email deliverability:

If that is not an option, then I would check with your webhost for some options or switch to a managed WordPress host. Several managed WordPress hosts use a transactional email service for their clients because they understand that email deliverability is difficult.

Thanks.

Hello, for the attendee count on the calendar, showing how many spots are open such as “Registrations / Spaces: 5 / 12”

Just to confirm, you’re saying it is NOT possible to hide the number of spaces available or the capacity? If anything, I would like to remove that line and show nothing.

As for the email, the emails are being sent but the fancy header showing the company name does not work anymore, it did work at one time. It now shows my hosting company. What is the point of the Fancy Header feature if it doesn’t work properly?

Thanks.

Hi,

In the Calendar Settings please change “Display Attendee Limits” to NO and it will turn those off for you.
